Ready to continue? Let’s do it then..

1. Absolutely nothing really matters. Nothing has any real importance.

In the greater scheme of things nothing truly does matter. I tend to look at what we jointly call reality from the viewpoint of the macrocosm and the microcosm. Or I guess another way to say it is the “big picture” and the “little picture”. Or maybe I could say I just see clearly, different levels of reality.

Anyway, I won’t at this point jump to explaining the quantum nature of reality but just stick with the joint illusion we call reality. You know, the one that says you and everything you see, feel and touch is reality. It says you are “in the world” as is everything else, (we’ll talk more about that in a future discussion).

Well, from the vantage point of our rather finite lives can we honestly say anything really matters except for that which we wish to have matter? And how long can we say that even matters? Does our personal truth matter just the length of our lives? Or does it matter still through our ancestors… two, three or four human life spans? All chains break eventually. All human concepts eventually fade and are lost. Time, or the illusion of it, is the great equalizer, the ultimate reset button.

Over the ages all that we presently believe will fade to non-existence. All of our petty dreams that are the grandeur of civilization. All the myriad of dramas we play out day to day, moment to moment. All our hates and all our loves.

So, even if we want to put aside the quantum nature of “reality”, which of course would leave us with a very unreal version of reality, we still end up in the same place. Nothing matters.

NO, THIS IS NOT COMPLETE YET MORE STILL TO COME
